| Player of the Month - April 2004
Ben Thomson (Lymington & New Milton)

What a month for Ben Thomson. He not only played football in a team that won six out of seven matches throughout April and drew the other game but, from a personal view it was a month he won't forget in a hurry.
Thomson was instrumental for his side as they achieved an unbeaten end to the season, scoring against his old club AFC Totton at Testwood Park.
The game against Hamble was probably the most significant for the attacking midfielder, who provided the assist for the opening goal in their 4-0 win, before scoring himself from a twice taken penalty and then ending the evening in goal when Alan Walker-Harris was taken off injured.
The Linnets ended the month with a superb 2-1 win at champions Winchester City and, although it was a team effort, Thomson certainly played his part and deservedly warrants this award.
