VT hoping Moneys can do them a favour
on 03/04/09 by Andy Starmore
Moneyfields, who are in fine form of late, could do VT a massive favour tomorrow (Saturday 4 April) as Poole Town edge ever closer to their very first Wessex League title.

Moneys go to Tatnam hoping to upset the Dolphins applecart and become the first side to beat Poole in the league all season.

If they were to achieve this it would allow VT an outside chance of winning the league and it would set up an exciting season finale.

VT of course have to overturn Brading Town on the Isle of Wight but if the two scenarios work out for Dave Diaper’s side there is the possibility that VT could narrow the gap at the top, if they win their games in hand, to seven points.

And with the match of the season coming on Easter Saturday between Poole and VT at Tatnam, should VT come out on top in that much anticipated encounter, then it could be as little as four points between the two big guns.

Both Poole and VT have shown signs of fatigue in recent weeks, not surprisingly given the phenomenal ratio of goals both outfits have plundered past their opponents this season, so there could be one or two more twists and turns to come before the fat lady grabs the microphone.
