Fareham youths denied win at death

A youthful Fareham Town second-string took on Locks Heath at Cams Alders last night in a pre-season friendly that finished in a 1-1 stalemate.

James Searle gave Fareham the lead on 35 minutes but the youngsters were unable to capitalise on their advantage and the visitors equalised with two minutes remaining.

The only recognised player on the park for Fareham with first team experience was Darren Watts, who is aiming to get his fitness up to scratch for the new campaign after recently returning from his honeymoon.
