Directions to ground:

From M27 to Cadnam, follow A31 to Ringwood – A347/A348 Ferndown - Bearcross – follow on this road until you pass the Mountbatten Arms on your left.

Turn right at next roundabout onto the A3049 and follow the signs to Dorchester and Poole.

Continue on this dual carriageway over the flyover to the next roundabout.

Straight across the roundabout and take the 2nd exit left off the dual carriageway to Upton / Hamworthy.

Go straight across 2 mini roundabouts and continue to Hamworthy, passing the Co-op store on your left.

Turn left at the second set of traffic lights into Blandford Close. Ground is straight ahead.

Club History

A Team was formed in the 1890’s called Hamworthy St Michael’s, winning their first trophy the Whitehead Minor Cup in the 1899-1900 Season.

Hamworthy Football Club was formed in 1926, and moved to the present ground The County Ground (formally known as the Nursery) in 1950.

Hamworthy Football Club amalgamated with Trinidad Old Boys at the start of the 1971-1972 season to form Hamworthy United Football Club as it is known today.

Hamworthy United have had great success at all levels over the years in various competitions, and hold the record of having been the only team to have played in every season of the Dorset Combination League from its formation until it finished to become the Dorset Premier League at the end of the 2001-2002 season.

After winning the league two years running they were promoted in the 2004/2005 Season to Wessex League Division 1, winning the Wessex League Cup in their first season.
