Club history: Totton Football Club was formed in 1886 and, when the Hampshire F.A was inaugurated became one of its founder members.

The early matches were played as South Testwood Park and, Totton was one of the founder members of the New Forest League when it was formed in 1904.

They won the League on several occasions and were the first holders of the Perkins Charity Cup.

After the 1914/1918 War they entered the Southampton Senior League and the New Forest League, and in 1920/21 joined the Hampshire League West Division.

Totton moved to Testwood Park, on 30 December 1933.

In 1975 they amalgamated with Totton Athletic, and during that year floodlights were installed and a Club Room and Bar opened at the Ground.

Totton's most successful season was in 1981/82 when they won the Hampshire League Division 1 Championship for the first time and the Russell Cote Cup, Hampshire Intermediate Cup, Southampton Senior Cup, Echo Trophy, Reg Mathieson Trophy and the Eastleigh Sixes Trophy.

The Hampshire League Division 1 Title was won again in the 1984/85 season and in 1985/86 the Club celebrated it's centenary year.

Totton joined the Wessex League when it was formed in the 1986/87 season finishing third.

Although League success eluded the Club, it still continued to perform well in Cup Competitions, winning the Medisport Wessex League Cup in 1989/90 and then runners-up to Southern League Bashley in the Russell Cotes Cup in 19990/91.

In 1997/98 they lost to AFC Lymington at the Semi-Final stage of the same competition.

The following season, 1998/99, the Stags beat Moneyfields 1-0 in an exciting and keenly contested Final.

The 1999/2000 season gave the Club it's best season for many years, reaching the 5th round of the FA Vase, going out to Bedlington and finishing 4th in the League.

The Club also had good runs in all three local cup competitions; the Hampshire Senior Cup, Wessex League Cup and the Russell Cotes Cup.

This upturn in fortunes continued into 2000/01 with the Stags again finishing 4th in the Wessex League.

The Carlsberg FA Vase was again to provide the Club with a good Cup run but defeat came in the 4th Round against Chippenham Town.

In 2001/02 the Club equalled its best League finish, taking 3rd Place after having led the table for most of the season.

Season 2002/03 saw the Club enjoy a good run in the FA Cup before losing to Slough Town in a 1st Qualifying Round replay.

In the FA Vase the Club again enjoyed a successful run before going out in the 2nd Round to St Blazey.

In the League Totton again finished 3rd just one point behind Gosport.

However the Club gained some silverware by beating League Champions Eastliegh 2-1 in the final of the Wessex Football League Cup to bring a long season to a close.

In 2003/04 Totton had a change of manager.

Disappointingly for the club, they finished 8th in Division 1 but had it not been for major injury problems for long periods the outcome may well have been very different.

The team gave a good account of themselves in their defence of the Wessex League Cup but defeat at the hands of Bemerton Heath at the semi-final stage ended the run.

The Reserves had an excellent season, finishing 5th in the combination Division and also reaching the semi-finals of the Combination Cup for the second year running and then narrowly losing to VT FC, Hampshire Premier League Champions, in the final of the Southampton FA Senior (Saturday) Cup.
